Common uses :

Allegra is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery, itchy, red eyes; sneezing, runny nose, itchy throat. Fexofenadine is also used for certain cases of itching skin (chronic idiopathic urticaria).

Possible side effects

Nausea, stomach upset, menstrual cramps, fatigue or cold symptoms may occur. If these effects continue or become severe, inform your doctor. Very unlikely but report promptly:
dizziness, fainting, irregular pulse. Although drowsiness is uncommon at usual doses under normal circumstances, be aware that Allegra may have such an effect before engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Drug interactions :

Tell your doctor of any nonprescription or prescription medication you may use, especially drugs that may affect the heart (QT prolongation) such as:
astemizole, cisapride, pentamidine, psychiatric drugs (e.g., chlorpromazine or amitriptyline), quinidine, procainamide, amiodarone, sotalol. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
